As an Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience in fund accounting, reporting, and client service, while being supported by experienced mentors and a development plan. Role and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Daily bookkeeping and accounting activities to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in preparing and review Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations in accordance with Lux GAAP and IFRS
Assist in preparing, review, and reconcile financial statements under Lux GAAP and IFRS
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation in line with internal policies and regulatory standards
Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of all client accounting outputs
Regulatory & Compliance
Assist in preparing tax, VAT filings and other regulatory submissions
Stay updated with Luxembourg accounting, tax, and regulatory developments, assisting with implementation of regulatory changes
Assist in monitoring compliance with internal controls, procedures, and service-level standards
Help respond to client queries and requests in coordination with senior team members
Maintain client dashboards and trackers to monitor service delivery
Contribute to process documentation and workflow improvements
Assist in implementing standardized templates and reporting tools
Audit & External Stakeholders
Prepare audit support files and documentation for interim and annual reviews
Liaise with auditors under guidance to resolve queries and provide requested data
Client Service & Stakeholder Management
Act as a point of contact for client queries, responding effectively and escalating where appropriate
Maintain client dashboards, trackers, and timelines to monitor deliverables and service quality
Ensure proactive communication regarding deadlines, issues, and deliverables
Operations, Systems & Process Improvement
Collaborate with the admin team members for clients’ operations
Assist in testing new system features and provide structured feedback to support system enhancements
Support technology integration initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and client service delivery
Teamwork & Professional Standards
Work closely with Palmer’s senior management, as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure smooth operations
Uphold a collaborative, professional, and client-focused team culture
Support knowledge sharing, mentoring of junior team members, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor or Master degree in either Finance, Economics or related field, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
3 years of experience in fund accounting or financial services in Luxembourg
Familiarity with Lux GAAP or IFRS
Interest in private capital and alternative assets
Skills & Competencies:
Clear and professional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Proficiency in Excel and basic accounting software (SaaS based)
High attention to detail and commitment to deliver accurate work
Strong organizational and time management skills
Eagerness to develop technical knowledge in fund accounting
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, build strong working relationships, share knowledge and contribute to a cooperative and high-performing team environment
Languages:
Full fluency in English (spoken and written), French and/or German is considered an asset
